Yamla Jatt is a very popular character in the village due to his antics. The young village girls particularly take special delight in teasing him. Yamla is firm in his belief that he would win the lottery he had entered. The apple of his sister-in-law's eye, she has brought him up as her own son and wants him to earn well so that she could arrange a grand wedding for him. Incredibly, Yamla does win the lottery and goes to the city to collect his winnings. There he sees everyone is after him and want to cheat him out of his money. However, Yamla outwits them all and returns to the village with his winnings intact.
